*Rodeo Girl, Marie Antoinette, and Mexican Day of the Dead. Beginners will feel a sense of accomplishment from producing an entire mixed media painting.  Advance students can incorporate the technique of a dirty shabby light background into their own figures. *If you are a beginner to drawing folk art faces or to mixed media take Petite Dolls for Beginners first.

Class Description

For beginners! Learn how to draw and shade pretty folk art faces and bodies and put them in a mixed media background. Foundation Class. No experience necessary. This is the class to take first if you do not have lots of experience with art.
No Prior Art Experience Necessary

      What you will learn:

            How to draw a pretty face.

            How to shade the face.

            How to make a simple folk art body.

            How to layer the background.

            How to unify the figure with the        

            background.

            How to make a beeswax finish.

Class Description

Part one of Suzi’s Portrait Series. Even if you have never drawn before you can make a beautiful Mixed Media Portrait Painting.  In this class you will learn how to line up, draw, and shade stylized features, both with graphite and colored pencil. You will learn how to layer over a face to make it more interesting, and how to make a layered background with a shabby textured surface.

Class Description

It is strongly recommended that you take Goddess and Poet first to learn the basics of lining up a face and shading.

Part two in Suzi’s Portrait Series. Learn the 3/4 and Side view face with The Tudor family as the theme.  You will make (at least) 4 original paintings based on four lessons each containing different mixed media techniques.

Angels Online Workshop

Class Description

For those that already know how to draw and shade the face, we will make 3 different style paintings with Angels as our theme.

Heres is some of what will be covered during the workshop:
� Primitive Folk Art: Layering paint and fabrics to create a traditional shabby folk art work.

� Tradition Angel: How to make hands easily, layering, textured flowers and wings, glitter words.

� Moody Goth Angels: Adding more than one figure to create an interesting composition.

All paintings are done on wood and  finished with beeswax.  If you do not know how to use beeswax than Petit Dolls for Beginners should be taken before Angels. If you need to learn how to do a more complicated face then Goddess and Poet should be taken before as well. Although I instruct you in video of the entire process  I do not teach you how to step by step line up the face and shade it. That is for the beginners class.
